Can a T1 Be Used for both Voice and Data Communications?
- With a piece of equipment called a multiplexer (which is similar to
a channel bank), the T-1 can be distributed into data circuits and voice
channels. For example, a T-1 could be used to carry 12 telephone lines plus two
data circuits at 386K baud. This would be an example of an integrated T1
circuit.
Is T1 Service available nationwide?
- For the most part yes. However there are some remote areas in the
U.S. where DSL nor T1 service is available. In such cases a custom
needing high speed internet should consider either Direcway or VSAT satellite
service.

- Voice over IP (VoIP) technology allows telephone calls to be made over
computer networks. VoIP converts analog voice signals into digital data
packets and supports real-time, two-way transmission of conversations using
Internet Protocol (IP).

- A VPN is a way to communicate through a dedicated server securely to a corporate
network over the internet.
Can I use residential DSL service for my business?
- If you are a small home based business Yes. But residential DSL is
not a good solution for a business that is located out of a home in
most cases. Business class DSL delivers higher bandwidth for upload and
download but depending on your business needs business class DSL may not be
the best solution for your business needs.
